Course Description

The course provides an introduction to relational database systems. The course will cover the following topics:

  • Principles of data storage
  • Database query languages (SQL)
  • Relational modeling
  • Keys and normal forms
  • Hash and index structures
  • Transactions and concurrency

Exam Review

  • The exam review for the first and second exam from HWS2017 will take place on : Thursday, Februrary 15th, 10am, at room B6 C1.01.

The course will be based on the book Database System Concepts by Silberschatz et al.
