CS 460 Database Technology (HWS 2017)

Course Description

The course provides an introduction to relational database systems. The course will cover the following topics:

  • Principles of data storage
  • Database query languages (SQL)
  • Relational modeling
  • Keys and normal forms
  • Hash and index structures
  • Transactions and concurrency

  • Exercise: Wednesday, 13.45 - 15.15, Room B6 A1.04

 Exam Review

  • The exam review for the first and second exam from FSS2018 will take place on : Thursday, September 27th, 9am, in room C1.01 (building B6, 26).

The course will be based on the book Database System Concepts by Silberschatz et al.
